The Commissioners received two bid proposals on Friday, August 18th.  On September 5th, 2006, the Commissioners, upon the recommendation of the Treasurer's Office and Budget Committee Chairman, voted to interview both proposers.  Pending these interview results, the Commissioners will award the bid to the successful bidder.

On Tuesday, September 19th, 2006, the Commissioners, after interviews  and recommendations with the proposers and staff,  voted to approve the Professional Auditing Services proposal submitted by James A. George, P.C, located in Boston, Mass.  The total cost of the three year bid for the General Account was $16,500; Single Audit three year cost was $5,400;  The total cost of the three year bid for the Unorganized Territory was $6,000; Single Audit three year cost was $5,400

The Somerset County Commissioners are seeking proposals for Professional Auditing Services

 

The Somerset County Commissioners are requesting proposals from qualified firms of certified public accounts to audit its financial statements for the County’s General County Budget year which ends December 31, 2006 and the County’s Unorganized Territory Budget year which ends June 30, 2007. Subsequent years and additional options are specified in the proposal.
